  1. Want to help your community? The Riverhead Varsity Women’s Lacrosse Team is hosting a fundraiser. On Saturday, April 15 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., the women’s lacrosse team will play the Easter bunny by hiding 50 candy-filled eggs in the participants’ yards. be ready for an egg hunt on Easter Sunday morning. Interested parties should send checks for $25 to Riverhead Girls Lacrosse Booster Club c/o Tony Psaltis at 79 West Apollo Drive Riverhead, NY 11901. Checks must be sent before Monday, April 11.   2. Long Island Spring Restaurant Week is scheduled for April 24 through May 1. Want to help your favorite participating restaurant? Make a reservation at one of the 55 restaurants currently listed as participants in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Participating restaurants offer fixed price menus for lunch and/or dinner. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson received a $25,000 award from the Katz Institute for Women’s Health to help create an integrative oncology program to help with both the physical and mental pain of cancer patients.
