Easter Bunny Driving Tours of the Hudson Valley
It might not be a good year to sit in the Easter Bunny’s lap, but that doesn’t mean kids can’t visit the Easter Bunny. Welcome to Easter 2021, where all you need is a car and the kids. There are many ways to get this tour here in the Hudson Valley.
Pack those kids in this car on Saturday March 27 between 11am and 1pm, and head to the Wappinger Town Hall car park on Middlebush Road. Jhe world’s most famous bunny will be on the porch in front of City Hall to hand out eggs and treats to the first 300 children under 12 to drop by. They will also be distributing raffle tickets to visitors and announcing the winners of some lovely Easter baskets in a Facebook live draw at 5 p.m. later the same day. Everyone participating in the Drive-through Easter Bunny event must remain in their vehicle. For more information on Bunny’s Drive-In Tours, visit the City of Wappinger Parks and Recreation website.
The 4th Easter Craft Fair and Flea Market will be held at the Homestead Suites on Breunig Road in New Windsor in Newburgh from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday March 27 and Sunday March 28. There will be over 20 vendors from all over the Hudson. Valley showcasing their items for sale. It’s not a drive-in event, but it’s contactless. the Easter bunny will be there both days between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. for a free contactless photo shoot for the kids. All guests must wear a mask to enter the event and all will be subject to a non-contact temperature reading.
If you’re in Sullivan County, you can take the kids to Liberty Elks Lodge on Darbee Lane for a driving tour with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children 10 and under will receive an Easter basket while supplies last, as well as photo ops and packed lunches. Social distancing and masks will be mandatory.
Think back to when you were a kid. Easter was big business and you couldn’t even walk through a mall or mall without seeing the Easter Bunny. You can barely walk into a mall or mall these days, period. So these events are very special. Happy Easter !
