Easter Sunday 2022: What’s Open and Closed in New York

STATEN ISLAND, NY – You won’t be able to shop at most major department stores on Easter Sunday, but you can go bowling in Staten Island, shop at Staples, visit Starbucks or make a last-minute purchase at Walmart.
Staten Islanders can shop at ShopRite stores across the borough, and Staten Island Advance will release on Sunday, April 17.
This year, with the lifting of restrictions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the increase in vaccination rates, Easter Sunday services will be busier and the organization of family celebrations will be less worrying.
To make things easier for families as Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, many retailers have chosen to give workers a Sunday holiday.
