Hunt Easter eggs and bunnies at Melville Koppies this Sunday

Let your kids join in the fun this Easter Sunday, April 17, as the Easter Egg and Bunny Hunt begins.

Friends of Melville Koppies and tour guide Wendy Carstens reiterated this and said: ‘Bring your kids and let them look for a hidden ribbon somewhere in the bushes of Melville Koppies. If they find a ribbon, take it back to the Koppies entrance where they will be rewarded with an Easter egg.

Carstens advises having your eyes open and good walking shoes as ribbons can be hidden anywhere along the many trails.

“And tell them to be on the lookout for Easter bunnies too. Four have been spotted recently but on Easter Sunday they could be even more active.”

“Test your fitness on the self-guided 5km hike or join an 8km guided hike starting at 00:00 sharp on the first Sunday of the month. And if those are too demanding, just take a relaxing self-guided walk, however long or short as you want, along the extensive trail network,” says Carstens.

Costs are R80 per adult and R40 per child for koppie maintenance. Parking is available at Marks Park Sports Club on Judith Road, directly opposite the koppies.
