Popular sausage dog cafe returns to downtown on Easter Sunday

The popular sausage dog cafe is making its long-awaited return to Liverpool over the Easter weekend.

Dog lovers and dachshund fanatics are allowed to come, where they can cuddle up with the puppies present. Dachshund owners will be able to bring their dog to the event where they will meet like-minded people and many other adorable sausage dogs.

It’s not the first time the pop-up cafe for dogs has visited Liverpool, with successful events kicking off over Christmas and the summer before the pandemic. Now the team behind Pup Up Cafe, which hosts events for dog lovers across the country, is heading back to town.

On Easter Sunday (April 17), the Event will be based at the hit bar Albert Dock Revolucion De Cuba, with dogs allowed to roam free “in a safe space”. There will be plenty of toys, props for photo ops, unlimited dog treats available at designated treat stations, as well as free and unlimited “puppuccinos” for all dogs, and more.

Pup Up Cafe events are incredibly popular, frequently gathering up to 75 dachshunds per session and many dachshund owners throughout the day. Non-dog owners can also book to come with them to spend time with a sausage dog.

For those looking for pet gifts or other treats, there will be local dog-related trade stalls to browse. To make sure the dogs have the best time, there will be ball pits, tunnels, toys and lots of other engaging accessories to keep them entertained.

Photographers will be on hand to take photos and videos throughout the day, which will be available on Pup Up Café Facebook Page shortly after the event.

How to book

Children under eight and dogs are free, but dogs still require a ticket. Your reserved session will be emailed to you prior to the event.
