What are your plans for Easter? If you’re staying in Canberra, you might be ready to spend some family time, get out and about in Canberra’s beautiful autumn weather, and enjoy Easter treats and an extra weekend -long.
If you are looking for a great day on Easter Sunday, the Old Bus Depot Markets are open for a special Easter Market on Sunday the 17thand April, with a little something for the whole family.
“It has become a great tradition for families to go out and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the markets on Easter Sunday,” said former bus depot market manager Richard Vagi.
“Take the kids to see the Easter Bunny who will be wandering the markets all day. Kids can score free chocolate eggs while their basket is still full,” Richard continued.
Easter is traditionally when markets host their Portobello Road Market, so after an egg hunt, go on a collectables hunt. This year there will be vinyl records, vintage clothing, toys, jewelry, small antiques and upcycled/upcycled furniture.
It’s also a great day to enjoy Easter treats and fresh produce. Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory will be offering many delicious treats, including half-chocolate eggs filled with all kinds of flavors, Capital Shaved Ice will be offering vibrant and refreshing snow cones, and Chimmi is offering super tasty Argentinian street food.
If you’re looking for fresh produce, you can’t miss Hill Lock Orchard’s seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables. Fill your baskets and create your own healthy Easter Sunday feast at home.
