The Easter Bunny visits Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OHIO (WTRF) – The Easter Bunny visited Buckeye Local High School for their third annual Easter celebration.

Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa and BLHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted an afternoon of fun.

Lunch with the Easter Bunny was full of activities and spring treats.

From bunny crafts, food, a cake walk and even an Easter egg hunt.

Dozens of people lined up for a photo with the Easter Bunny himself.

Danielle Nelson, secretary of the organization, says all proceeds from the event go to a scholarship fund.

It’s always good to have money in advance when you go to university because it’s expensive. So we’re just trying to help. All funds raised today from Alpha Delta Kappa and this organization, we will provide a scholarship to a Buckeye Local senior who is entering education.

She says that many teachers and alumni make up this organization.

They wanted to help a student on a similar career path to theirs, so having lunch with the Easter Bunny is a win, a win for everyone.
