The Jumping Easter Bunny by Wantagh-Levittown Ambulance Corps

WANTAGH, NY – The Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps will host an afternoon with The Easter Bunny in Levittown on Saturday.

The free outdoor event will include crafts and games for children, a bunny hopscotch and a small Easter egg hunt after each child’s photo, and ambulance tours. The event, which will take place at the Ambulance Corps Headquarters at 129 Balsam Ln. in Levittown, will be socially distanced and face masks are required to attend.

It will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Ambulance corps president Irene Sabatasso said she would star in the organization’s inaugural event. Members of the organization had planned to hold the event last year, but were prevented from doing so due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she said.

Sabatasso said the ambulance corps, which is 100% volunteer staffed and serves the communities of Wantagh and Levittown, responded to more than 500 emergency calls between March and June 2020. They continue to respond to all emergency calls, including those related to COVID-19, she mentioned.

The event is weather permitting and will be subject to cancellation/postponement in the event of adverse conditions. For more information, contact: info@wlvacems.com.
